Witham & Zico are in there as well.

Seem to recall that the first year we met Bubbles Cyprus in the bar.

NS,

I played a lot of 5 a side in the Colchester league and would class myself as a good 5 aside keeper.

Because of this I had no spacial awareness above my shoulders and my kicks barely made it out of the area (Witham1975 took them for me)

When Peewee played in goal I was tasked with Forrest Gumping down the left. (I can run and run and run)

Re: WHO football at the Boleyn
Bushey was injured that year.

The guy in Jeans wasn't busheyhammer on here but his surname was Bush.

He was down to play but injured himself and so we made him Manager so he could walk out with us, be in the dressing room and enjoy it. I cant remember his WHO log on though.

Zico, Templar, Danny66 and Smithy are in the team I thought Guinness Shandy also played but that might have been same kit but different year.

How many on there are regular posters on here now in that picture?

It's a bit sad if there's only 2/3/4 of you guys that bother to come on here anymore.

Hi Johnson, Yes very well thanks mate. Let's hope we are getting nearer to the day when we can get back to some kind of normality. I remember those days at Upton Park with a lot of fondness.

Hope all is good with you and yours too.

A couple of times I stayed in the hotel the night before and one year ended up having breakfast with the man himself.

Coming out of the tunnel to bubbles made me feel like a million dollars.....

….Slipping and sliding around in row z on studs looking for the match ball brought me down to earth :-)

Cheers MPI. Couldn't remember exactly but knew the guys did it for several years. I seemed to recall the team had a really good keeper. Bearing in mind the emotional outpouring that leaving Upton Park caused, it is good to look back and be pleased lots of real fans were able to have experiences of the old place which will last a life time.

I did two years and my lot were gutted when it all stopped, bk.

Even the non-West Ham fans still talk about the days now and again - especially now UP is no more.

Hope you're well mate.

Re: WHO football at the Boleyn
We had some brilliant years at Upton Park and just glad we had the opportunity to do it.

Can't remember how many times WHO teams took part but we had 11 years of the Frank McAvennie Tournaments and from memory WHO were in most of them.

Great days great memories.
